We utilize a computer aided drafting network for design and hydraulic calculations.

IN HOUSE FABRICATION

Fabrication is an essential part of a quality sprinkler operation. Many sprinkler companies have their fabrication done by outside sources. However, we feel that the best way to maintain the level of quality and production necessary to be competitive is to have a fabrication shop on the premises. We precut and fabricate most of our systems prior to them being sent out for installation.

INSTALLATIONS

Our trained field superintendents have an average of 15 to 25 years of experience in the sprinkler industry. As members of the Local 669 union, we participate in a 5 year apprenticeship for all of our field personnel, where they are instructed under supervision of trained journeyman. We also have ongoing educational, product, installation and safety training. OSHA training, manlift training and other safety training is a key to our workforce maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

In addition to the design, fabrication, installation and maintenance of fire protection sprinkler systems, we also have a range of specialized services that we offer. We have a P.E. (professional engineer) on staff to review all of our drawings and specifications. We also offer water sample testing for MIC (microbiologically influenced corrosion), as well as MIC Treatment systems.

What is MIC?

MIC refers to corrosion that is influenced by the presence of 3 specific bacterium; Acid Producing Bacterium, Iron Related Bacterium and Sulfate Reducing Bacterium. MIC and Oxidative or General Corrosion can prevent a fire sprinkler system from operating as designed and installed. The aforementioned MIC and Oxidative or General Corrosion can produce leaks and create obstructions as pictured below.

Both the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 13 and 25 latest editions, require water supplies and environmental conditions to be evaluated for the potential of microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC).
